This release adds quick edit buttons for quicker report design. You no need click so many buttons to change the report query, column definitions criteria, groups and graphs

Jun 28th 2014 - Security Alert

All releases up to 3.2 are vulnerable from a credentials leak as advised by security experts secveritas.com. Details are here  http://www.secveritas.com/secv-05-1402.html.

To remove the vulnerability users should upgrade to either version 3.3 or to the latest version 4.0 of Reportico which also adds new features .. see news below. The vulnerability only occurs for non-password protected Reportico projects. Versions 3.3 and 4.0 can be downloaded from Sourceforge at https://sourceforge.net/projects/reportico/files/

To upgrade unpack the latest version alongside your existing installation, copy all the project folders found below folder projects in the existing installation into the same folder in your new installation. Do this for all folders except admin, then point your browser at the new installation, set the admin password and you will then be protected.

May 2nd 2013 - Reportico Joomla module now available

The Reportico Joomla module allows you to build a report suite as the Joomla Administrator and then allow your web site users to access the report menu, enter criteria and run reports. See the Reportico Joomla Module page for more information.

March 23rd 2013 - Version 3.0 Released

  • Easier to embed reportico in web pages, access mode allows you to restrict view to a single project, single report or single report output.
  • This release allows reports to run solely using AJAX without need for full page reloads.
  • Queries can filtered by user by using the external_user property.
  • User criteria is displayed more correctly on reports
  • New optional refresh button
  • Drop down menu to access reports.
  • Multiple reports can be embedded into a single web page using session namespaces

If you have an existing Reportico installation, you can transfer your existing report projects from your old projects area to your new one. Do notcopy across the "admin" folder, or these new functions will not work.

To try out multiple languages, navigate to the Reportico folder and go to language/packs/ and move up any of the experimental language folders into the language folder. Your admin and menu pages will now allow you to select between languages. Then you can create your own language pack!

August 30th 2012 - Version 2.5 Released

This version contains :-

  • Allow wider range of SQL syntax
  • Show criteria shows criteria for prior queries
  • CSV output doesnt handle special characters or double quotes
  • Move to pChart 1.3 Graphing by default
  • Allow template plugins of project dropdown menus

This version allows you to create drop down report selection menus. See the forum post here to find out how. To try out styles, hyperlinks, images and drilldowns, open a report in design mode, go to the Assignments tab and create some assignments and experiment with the wizards you will see there.


May 10th 2012 - Version 2.4 Released

  • Multiple language and character set support including UT8
